Choose Tankini Tops for Flattering and Versatile Swimwear
If you like the look of bikinis but feel that they expose a bit more flesh than what you’re comfortable with, you might want to consider tankini tops. Tankinis are a fairly new type of swimwear that have become very popular due to their versatility and ability to flatter many body shapes.
Tankini swimsuits come in two pieces like bikinis but offer more coverage. The top of a tankini is long and covers most of the stomach, making it a great cover up if you don’t want to show off your belly. Tankinis are flattering to many figures and you can choose a style that will cover up body parts that you’re not proud of and at the same time show off your greater features.
Tankini top styles are particularly popular with pregnant women as they will stretch more than a one piece swimsuit, to accommodate a growing belly and they are very comfortable. Tankinis show more skin than a traditional one piece bathing suit but will still cover up most of your stomach which is great to disguise stretch marks.
Another advantage of this type of swimsuit is that you can mix and match the tops and bottoms as you wish. You can wear tankini top halves with normal bikini bottoms and swap around the pieces as much as you like. This means you can get four different looks from just two different bikini or tankini sets.
Tankinis are available in a wide range of styles both in tops and bottoms. You can buy thong or string bikini bottoms if you’re comfortable with your shape, or if you prefer a little more coverage choose a style with a high waist and fuller cut or in a short style. Tops also come with a range of coverage for all kinds of bust sizes and styles including halter and strapless versions. With so many options it’s no problem to find the perfect tankini tops to suit your figure. For more information on tankinis, visit Tankini Guide.

I usually wear bikinis, but the retro swimsuits are terribly cute! I’m thinking of buying one, I especially like the polka dot one and the purple one.
