In Solvang, which is part of the Santa Ynez Valley, California wine country, you can find a lot of great tasting rooms with great wines. Some of the best wines are made in “the Valley” – a wine country that can be found along the Central Coast. And, of course, these wines are not just accidents. They are made by some of the best wineries there are in California.
Sobriquet Winery is one of those great Solvang wineries. It is located in Los Olivos, a small town in Santa Ynez. Chris Stanton, the owner of Sobriquet, is a wine artisan with over thirty years of experience he received from the Napa and the Santa Ynez valleys. He now lives and works in Santa Ynez and he embraces craftsmanship and art as the soul of his Sobriquet label. The attention that he gives each of his wines is the reason he has won so many awards from publications such as Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate and also the Wine Enthusiast. From them he has received a number of 90 plus point ratings.
Among these great wines is his 2009 Chardonnay, which is possibly one of the best wines that you may ever have. This Chardonnay uses grapes from the Sierra Madre Vineyards in nearby Santa Maria Valley. Because of the particular terroir of these grapes, this wine gives the connoisseur a wonderful “freshness and acidity” that is unequalled. It has received a 90 points rating from the Wine Enthusiast and has won the Double Gold at the San Francisco International Wine Competition as well.
I think you will find that Sobriquet Winery is very special indeed after you taste that wonderful Chardonnay. And if you aren’t looking for the best Chardonnay, Sobriquet Winery has many wonderful reds as well. Why not order a bottle – red or white – from Sobriquet Winery and see what all the critics are raving about.

With the market hype that it generated since its introduction to the market, the banjo minnow fishing lure debate is still on among many fishermen. Both amateur and professional anglers have something to say in connection to the effectiveness of this product. Some amateur anglers say that they have significantly increased the size and quality of their catch using the banjo minnow fishing lure. Experienced fishermen on the other hand say otherwise.
Among these countless debates about the effectiveness of the banjo minnow system, one question arouses much curiosity among gamers and fishing hobbyists alike: Can trout fishing be done with the use of the banjo minnow?
According to its features, the banjo minnow is said to “mimic the movements and motions of an injured or a dying minnow”. This emulation, as what the product says, is what leads to the effectiveness of the product. By copying the movement of a dying fish, the banjo lures the target fish into biting the bait, even if the predator fish is not hungry at all.
In the case of trout fishing, careful investigation and research should be done beforehand if you want to be successful in using the banjo minnow system. First of all, you should know the feeding system of the fishing area where you want to fish. If the prey fish in the area consists of small and golden fishes, then you should also use a small, golden banjo lure to mimic the trout’s feeding habitat. You should also study the fishing area and find the spots more likely to be visited by the trout. By doing so, you significantly increase your chance of capturing the trout with a banjo minnow fishing lure. Just remember to use the right size and color of lure to mimic the look of the prey fish in your fishing area.
